Home Stretch!

2.5 more months until we meet our little guy!  So much to do in such a short period of time.  Luckily this week we finally have carpet installed in our basement so we can start clearing out the baby room (has been our basement storage) and working on that!  At 29 weeks I am still feeling pretty good.  I feel like I am definitely one of the lucky ones when it comes to how I have felt throughout this pregnancy so far.  Hopefully that continues!  I have a feeling the next two months are going to fly by.

We are still working on a name for Baby C.....I think it might come down to a coin toss in the hospital! :-)

The Bump

So people have been asking to see pictures of the bump.  It has definitely popped out in the last few weeks!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by! Hard to believe we will get to meet our little Mr. in 3 short months!!!  So much to do...so little time :-)

John has been extremely busy working on finishing the basement and we hope to be completed in the next two weeks so that he can move on to the nursery!  The projects never end in this house.  While John was busy painting a few weeks ago I went to Chicago to celebrate Ryan's 5th Birthday!  Had a blast with the kiddos and family!!!

Strollers, cribs and car seats oh my!

So we have started to think about all of the things we will need for Baby C and it is so overwhelming to say the least! How will one tiny person need all of this stuff?  And how do you know you are getting the right stuff?  So I am challenging my friends/family to give me ideas of things they couldn't imagine living without with a baby.  Ready, set, go!!

On another note we visited a daycare today that John and I both really liked so that was a relief.

Will be 19 weeks on Monday!  Starting to feel baby move which is so cool and definitely starting to show.  Belly pictures are soon to come.

2 weeks until we find out if our little bundle of joy is a girl or boy!!! Can't wait

Baby's First Pictures

Since we were being seen at the University we were lucky enough to have a few first glances at our baby.  Seeing that flicker of a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks was the best news that John and I could have imagined!  Here are our baby's first pictures :-) I have to say....the last ones were a bit frightening haha.

6.5 weeks....really that's a baby??  John and I kind of thought it looked like a bat hanging from a cave?  Unbelievable what you can see at such an early stage.

9 weeks - our little gummy bear.  Was so fun to see the baby move around for the first time.

13 weeks - Ahhhh alien baby!!!!  Someone at work said that will be the sweetest face I ever see.  I just responded with a little "ha ha ha yep" but really was thinking that I hoped I didn't have nightmares :-)  Probably not what most normal first moms to be would say but the ones who didn't were just lying I am pretty sure!
Okay this one is WAY better :-)  Now that is a sweet looking little baby.. heartbeat currently is 160 bpm.  3D ultrasound is way better than the regular one above haha.

At just about 16 weeks still not having any serious pregnancy symptoms.  I haven't had morning sickness at all, a lot of fatigue and am still not showing (I can tell but most people would probably think I just ate too many sweets over the holidays....which I did).

Fall in Iowa

We have been busy spending as much time outside as we can while the weather is still nice.  Fall is by far my favorite season and it really is beautiful here in Iowa.  Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks!

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend was packed with fun activities.  My sister, brother in law and nephews came in from Chicago for the long weekend.  We had so much fun going out on the boat, going to the park and going to the Kernals game.  Ryan even got to help drive the boat with Uncle John which he thought was pretty cool, although I am pretty sure his highlight was meeting the Kernals Mascot "Mr. Shucks" and running the bases after the game.  We also had an early celebration for John's birthday!  Here are some pictures from the weekend.
