Big Weekend Ahead

We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Its very dim...but there! John has about 5 feet left of wood flooring to lay and then we will be done with wood floors! YAY. Our kitchen cabinets came in this week and are sitting in the garage. Hopefully that will be a project for the upcoming week.

Status of the wood floors...

This weekend I am moving out officially of my apartment that I have been living in since October. Finally all my stuff will be in one spot, first time in 6 months! I am going to have to get creative with cooking as I don't think I will have a fully functioning kitchen for another month. If you have any great crock pot or grilling recipes send them my way please!

We did finally get our half bathroom all put together and its sad to say but its the only fully completed room on the first floor so far! We decided to put in a pedestal sink since its such a small room...only thing left is to find a new mirror to hang!

Wood Floors

After looking around at what type of wood we wanted for the first floor there were a couple of thiings that we were looking for. First, we wanted a hard wood since we have a 70 lb Lab and had heard stories of friends floors getting ruined by their dogs toenails. The other thing we were considering was obviously what look we wanted.

The choice for us was Hickory and we absolutly love the way that they look! It is a hard wood and is going to look great with our cabinets (if they ever come in)

Doesn't look like much work was getting done this day!

Upstairs is close to being done!

The upstairs is finally done!!! Well kind of. We had another water leak in the bathroom so that is still torn up until we know for sure that we won't have any more problems.
